Aileen's Petite Fashions

As I posted the swimsuit pattern last time, I think it's time to say something about this. Back in the 70s a couple of ladies were making patterns for Barbie. One of them took a pause during the 80s, and got back to making Barbie patterns in the 90s, and the other continued through the 80s, and sold her company to the first one in the 90s. That was Aileen's Petite Fashions. 

I don't know which ones were designed/patterned by which lady, but now the collection of over 200 patterns consists of vintage Barbie fashion (the same thing that I want to do with this blog), special edition Barbies by Mattel, OOAK Barbie fashion from conventions, celebrities and movie costumes, and other things. 

Now, some people aren't happy about the quality of the patterns. They don't sit so well, and there are other problems as well, so I suppose I'll go through them.

Also... Vanna White? Er... 

I am somewhat interested in Bob Mackey's designs for Barbie, and other "big names".

I am very interested in reproducing movie fashion, but contemporary (that is from 1958-1965). 

I am a little interested in reproducing princess Diana's fashions, but it would be more interesting to reproduce the fashions of someone like Jackie Kennedy, or Grace Kelly, or Doris Day. Why not queen Elizabeth II.
