Friday Night Date #979

This is Aileen's Petite Fashions #36

Mind that you get the corduroy stripes right - they should form a nice V in front of the skirt, and be horizontal at the bodice front.

In Barbie and Ken comic book #2 from 1962, they show it a bit differently... In the real dress, the white underdress covers the upper body fully, in the comic book, they have rised the jumper to cover the chest, and the underdress is basically just puffy sleeves. I don't think the one who colored the pictures knew what it was supposed to be, but here one can see clearly how the jumper goes over the breasts

Someone said they wish Mattel had made saddle oxfords to go with this outfit. Now, they have made saddle shoes, but if you want to, you can make your own. Get a pair of white tennis shoes or sneakers, and paint the black field on them with acrylic paints.
